Traditionally, Lyst has relied on digital agencies to produce the website and creative assets for its annual Year In Fashion report. However, this year the company decided to handle that aspect of the project in-house for the first time.
The Year in Fashion report analyses global fashion trends and consumer behaviour. It reveals the most influential celebrities, brands, and products of the year based on Lyst data.
This project was a collaboration between the Brand team and Visual Design. I led the Visual Design team from the initial creative ideation session to the project’s delivery. In addition, I was responsible for designing and building the microsite for the report.

“Lyst’s yearly roundup is maybe the closest thing we have in fashion to a Spotify Wrapped.”

Challenge
We needed to create a visually striking website, social and press assets that would attract a consumer audience and help establish the report’s credibility and authority with industry and press, while working within a small budget. Due to a heavy workload, the Visual Design team had only just over a week to complete the task.
Results
In its first week the report had been covered by 30+ major consumer and industry fashion press titles such as Vogue, Dazed, Highsnobiety, Hypebae, Refinery29, Harpers Bazaar and Vogue Business. It also received positive engagement and shares from featured brands including Coperni and Diesel.
